Ivory Tower explains how will play while you install "in The Crew

As we know, all Xbox games One will have an installation PS4 mandatory and, given the size of several tens of gigabytes that many of these will occupy, the process can take a lot. It is for this reason that Microsoft asked all developers to introduce the ability to start playing while you install games: but how will it work exactly? Ivory Tower, co-developers with Ubisoft Reflections of racing game The Crew , explains how this will happen in their title.

The game's lead designer Serkan Hassan explained that the title immediately installs a limited area within which the player will be "closed" until the installation will not end. In this area will take place the first few missions of the game, which are designed to last just long enough to install, after which all the game world will be available for exploration by the players.

A similar mechanism should take place even if you decide to purchase the game digitally, allowing us to start playing while the download occurs, although in this case the times will be much more dilated and it is not clear whether the title we will make available more areas as they continue the download or if, once you complete the initial area missionsHowever, we will have to wait for the completion of the download.

An interesting information that allows us to understand how other games manage this feature: linear ones probably will give us access to missions, while the open world we will make available a restricted area (for those who have played imagine e.g. the first mission of GTA V, which is separated from the rest of the prologue title) while the rest of the game you are installing.

The Crew , interesting racing game open world of Ivory Tower and Ubisoft, is expected out in early 2014.
