Microsoft reveals self-publishing indie game: the ID program @ Xbox

During the showcase that is taking place these minutes at GamesCom, Microsoft unveiled details of the self-publishing of games produced by independent developers. The House of Redmond has announced the program ID @ Xbox which can join the developers since August 20 by registering on the website /id Xbox.com .

Once accepted the candidacy, the developer will receive two development kit at no additional charge and will have access to all features of the console including services offered by Cloud, SmartGlass, Kinect, multiplayer, achievements and gamer card.

Microsoft has clarified that will be given priority to the candidatures of developers " with previous experience developing games for consoles, PC or tablet . The development of the titles also does not provide any tax on certification neither on updates. Microsoft's intent, as explained by Marc Whitten, Xbox Chief Editor, is to open a new world for developers, so that everyone can become a reality thanks to the power of the Xbox One.

Microsoft has also stated that developers will be able to rely on a support team led by Chris Canfield, Director of ID @ Xbox, through direct contacts and the Organization of events dedicated to the program.
