The Battlelog of Battlefield 4 brings many new features, including Battle screen , the game map in real-time viewable on Smartphones, tablets and PCs. Unfortunately, as announced by Jasper Nielsen, Assistant producer of the service, this feature will only be available for the next-gen version of the game and not for the current generation of the console: " Battlelog is supported by the web and has many implications. There are many things that can be done quickly, rather than create something in native code " .

Nielsen refers probably to the fact that nowadays it's more useful to develop something that is compatible across multiple platforms rather than concentrate on something specific to each individual device. Obviously current generation consoles do not have the necessary architecture to satisfy that criterion, and from this comes the inability to take advantage of some new services also on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Battlefield 4 will arrive in stores on October 29.
