After Microsoft revealed-while leaving several unresolved questions-many of the details about the mechanisms of resale of used on Xbox One , as well as the famous discussissimo and Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter Security wanted to speak on the subject.

Pachter explained that, according to his company, no Publisher will try to block completely the resale of used games, provided by the new console: this is because a publisher who decides to move in this direction would be boycotted by the players. The analyst, however, suggests that it is possible that some editor decides to stop the resale of used in the weeks immediately after the launch of a game, to promote the sale of new, then unlock it after the launch period.

This is obviously just a guess of Pachter, and we don't know if it will actually be so: for now all publishers questioned about entrenched themselves behind the silence or releasing a simple "no comment". It is however unlikely that during E3 we will discover what are the plans of publishers in this respect: we should probably wait until near the time of the console output.
