In an interview from the site AtomicPC , DICE CEO Patrick Söderlund entered on the number of players who can compete in multiplayer on Battlefield 3 . The community has repeatedly asked if we could have 64, 128 or 256 players in online matches and, although it is feasible and has already been proven during the test, the team has concluded that such an experience would not have enjoyed the player.

Söderlund concluded that certainly does not exceed 64 players, and most likely you will have 32 to 40 people connected in a multiplayer game. Obviously we can not know whether this will be maintained on the console but it is more likely to be scaled. Please note that in a few days, more precisely March 16, will be released the second video of Battlefield 3.
