2XKO: Riot Games announces the date of its F2P fighting game

Riot Games has finally announced the final launch date of its long-awaited free-to-play fighting game 2XKO, confirming the arrival of the title on our consoles for January 20th.

After debuting in early access on PC last October, the studio behind hits such as League of Legends and VALORANT is preparing to launch the full version of 2XKO on consoles; The game is proposed as a two-on-two team fighting game, where cooperation will be essential to achieve victory. We can choose whether to fight alone, controlling both champions of our team, or team up with a friend to manage one character each.

One of the peculiar mechanics of the gameplay lies in the "Fuses", powerful modifiers of the style of play that will allow us to change the rules of the game and customize our approach to combat. The roster will see the legendary League of Legends champions take the field, equipped with new movesets and reimagined to work in a fighting game context, all immersed in the environments of Runeterra made with modern 2D graphics.

In terms of modalities and technical infrastructure, 2XKO will offer lobbies structured as virtual arcades where we can meet partners or rivals, with options for ranked, casual or private matches. The developers also promise a smooth and lag-free online experience, thanks to the implementation of netcode rollback and dedicated anti-cheat systems. So we just have to wait three weeks to go down to the arena!
