Gaijin Entertainment and Matter Team today revealed the gameplay of Active Matter, an extraction shooter with strong sci-fi elements, in an adrenaline-pumping trailer that shows us the very particular mechanics of the game, which will see us operate in a multiverse devastated by a quantum catastrophe.

In Active Matter we will play the role of an agent trapped in a time loop, brought back to life in the same place after each death. Our task will be to venture into quantum-unstable areas, rich in a substance known as "active matter", capable of distorting and tearing the very fabric of space and time. This element will not only be at the center of the narrative, but will directly affect the gameplay, generating anomalies that defy the laws of physics and encounters with supernatural entities.

The game is presented as a tactical shooter that mixes PvPvE, PvE, and PvP elements. We'll have to face both other players from different timelines, as well as hostile creatures transformed by active matter, all while trying to collect valuable resources and escape the area before it collapses in on itself. Cooperation and strategy will be key to surviving in this chaotic universe, where danger lurks around every corner.
