Great news for fans of Asobo Studio's series, A Plague Tale: a third episode or spin-off is coming in 2026, although it will be an independent story and prior to that of Amicia and Hugo. This is what emerged from an "involuntary leak" by Focus Entertainment, which on Threads mistakenly published a short trailer for Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy ahead of time.

This time the series seems to take a leap back into the past, the era of the Roman Empire or even earlier: the trailer that you can see below, in fact, in addition to settings compatible with that era, shows us an imposing statue of the Minotaur, while a labyrinth drawn on the game's logo clearly suggests that the story is connected to the Greek myth of Ariadne's Thread. In addition, the post on Threads was accompanied by this description, also mentioning the name of the new protagonist: "Unravel ancient secrets and face a mythical creature at the center of a devastating curse. Immerse yourself in Sophia's original story in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy."
