IO Interactive today announced that Hitman 3, the third installment in the Agent 47 reboot series released in January 2021, will receive its name change to Hitman: World of Assassination on January 26 and will become the central entry point to play all the titles in the trilogy.

The game will in fact automatically give access to episodes I and II, and all owners of Hitman 3 will be automatically switched to the new version thus receiving the contents of the two additional games, usable from within the same title.

From the 26th, the first two titles will no longer be available for single purchase, as Hitman: World of Assassination will become the only access point for the series. We imagine that this is a first move to add more content to the series, but for this we will have to wait for any announcements.
