Halo Infinite: the Winter Update is here, here is all the contents

The Winter Update of Halo Infinite has finally arrived, bringing with it a massive load of content including the highly anticipated Forge mode that allows us to download (or create ourselves) new maps and game modes made by the whole community, giving life to a virtually infinite and extremely varied experience.

On the occasion of the launch of the update, Microsoft reminds us of all the news released showing them also in a new trailer. Find it all below.

  • Forge Beta: Halo's legendary creation tool is back and more powerful than ever, with a wide range of additions and enhancements to give community cartographers advanced and accessible tools. The Forge Beta launches with six canvas maps, a new visual scripting engine, object resizing, bot support, huge budget increases, file sharing capabilities, and much more to help you create and share your own maps, modes, and prefabs. Check out the Forge Fundamentals four-part video series on Halo Waypoint for an overview of all the exciting new additions.
  • Match XP and new Battle Pass: The Winter Update marks the first big step in the evolution of the Halo Infinite progression experience with the Match XP Beta. Based on player feedback, Match XP rewards players who complete matches, with additional XP for performance (e.g., win/lose, end-of-game placement, etc.) During the beta period, the values of each Match XP reward category will be monitored and fine-tuned to provide better earning rates. Try it out with the Winter Update's free, no-expiration 30-level Battle Pass, featuring fan-favorite Halo: Reach-themed cosmetics.
  • New multiplayer maps and game modes: Two new multiplayer arena maps - Argyle and Detachment - have been added to the rotation, both built entirely within Forge. Argyle is an inner map, narrow and set in the narrow corridors of a UNSC ship, while Detachment is a once-abandoned UNSC structure, located atop a rocky outcrop. The new Covert One-Flag mode is a unique variant of the one-flag CTF, with the attacking team equipped with active camouflage, while the defending team possesses threat sensors.
  • Network campaign Co-Op and Replay of missions: Whether you're wearing the Master Chief's Mjolnir armor for the first time or returning to Zeta Halo, you can join with up to three friends and experience the epic Halo Infinite campaign together in the Co-op Networked Campaign. Cross-play is supported on all Xbox and PC devices, and progress and unlocks are shared among all players—everyone benefits! If you want to relive a specific part of the campaign or need to collect the remaining collectibles, you can replay any mission from the TACMAP.
  • New objectives: For objective hunters, the Winter Update brings 24 new achievements to the Halo Infinite campaign. Some can be completed on their own, but others may require a helping hand (or three!). See the full list of new goals here.
