EA today announced the official name of the new title in the Skate series in development at Full Circle: it will be called "skate.", with a lowercase s and end point, but the real surprise comes from the announcement that it will be a free-to-play game and will be managed as a live service title, constantly evolving and with the release of content and changes over the years.

The developers explain that this aspect of the game was inspired by Apex Legends, also from EA, especially with regard to transactions that, as in the Respawn title, will be mainly cosmetic in nature.

The guys at Full Circle didn't want to get out of balance on a release date: the development is still long, and we'll know more in the future.
