CD Projekt RED today announced the development of the next chapter in The Witcher video game series, in development on the Unreal Engine 5 engine. The new title, of which for now nothing else is known, will kick off a new saga for the franchise, which suggests a new trilogy even if for now there is no confirmation of this.

The Polish studio has not yet provided details on the title, the timing of development or the characters involved: will it be a sequel, a prequel or something completely unrelated to geralt's adventures?
