eFootball: Konami postpones the first big update by 6 months, refunds the Premium Player Packs

That the development of eFootball did not sail in good waters was understood after the highly criticized launch, but it seems that things are worse than expected at Konami. In a few days, on November 11, the first major update "1.0.0" of the title was scheduled that would have added content and news, but the Japanese house announced today the postponement of the update to spring 2022.

A postponement of 6 months for a highly anticipated update, which the developers have now understood need a longer development time. It is certainly strange that they realized it so close to the release, 6 days before.

To mitigate the negative effect of this announcement, Konami also revealed the removal from the stores of the paid Premium Player Packpackage , automatically refunding all those who had purchased it.

But the game will not remain completely free of updates for six months: minor patches will continue to be released for the correction of the various bugs found in the game, one of which will arrive today, but which will not introduce new features and content.

We will update you when an exact date for the spring update is revealed.
