EA and Codemasters Announce GRID Legends

EA started tonight's EA Play Live conference with the most recent flagship of its stable: Codemasters, which after releasing F1 2021 has now announced GRID Legends, new chapter of the famous racing series that in 2022 will allow us to compete with a wide range of different vehicle types, from trucks to electric cars. GRID Legends is a high-risk driving experience that combines the thrilling action of motorsports, an incredible variety of races and an immersive story, which puts the player at the center of the action. Featuring renewed race management, GRID Legends offers exciting and unpredictable races both on traditional tracks and on city circuits. The title will also boast a race creator that will allow players to select mixed-class vehicles and compete on all circuits, including new city locations, London and Moscow. GRID Legends will be released in 2022 on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation®5, along with PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

The legendary GRID World Series returns, and this year, players will play a leading role in a documentary that captures every moment, on and off the track. Drivers will be able to meet a fierce personalities, internal team political figures and the infamous Ravenwest Motorsport, which hopes to win a sixth World Championship. Developed using an innovative virtual production, which brings players closer to the action, the tale of the less fortunate features an eclectic cast, including award-winning British actor Ncuti Gatwa.

GRID Legends delivers drama in every inch of the circuit. The artificial intelligence that drives the unique personality of the driver gives life to unpredictable races as the cars compete for a place on the podium. Compete on more than 130 routes, including real-world circuits like Brands Hatch and Indianapolis, to iconic GRID city circuits like San Francisco, Paris, and more. Race and upgrade over 100 vehicles, from classic touring cars to large trucks, single-seaters and stadium trucks. With the inclusion of the race creator, players can take their favorite mixed-class races to the track and fight online.
