Xbox Cloud Gaming switches to Xbox Series X: some titles already playable on new hardware

Two weeks ago, Microsoft said that, "coming soon," Xbox Cloud Gaming's infrastructure would be upgraded from current Xbox One S-based blade servers to the new and more powerful Xbox Series X-based blades. It now seems that this step is happening right now, since some title are already playable on the new hardware.

Those who have started titles such as Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Rainbow Six: Siegethrough cloud in recent hours have noticed not only much faster uploads and improved graphics, but also the presence of graphics settings available only on Xbox Series X, such as the 120 fps or the "high resolution" graphics mode of Yakuza. Other titles, on the other hand, turn out to have the performance "from One S".

So it seems that, very soon, the Xbox Cloud Gaming gaming experience is set to improve significantly for everyone: we're waiting for official news from Microsoft!
