Bandai Namco today released a short teaser trailer for The Dark Pictures: House of Ashes,the new Supermassive Games horror adventure coming later in the year,also revealing that on May 27 at 6pm an in-depth look at gameplay will come.

The story of the game is based on this premise: "Iraq, 2003. In the shadow of the Zagros Mountains, a military unit has a firefight with Iraqi forces. The result of this battle is a seismic shock that causes both sides to fall into the buried ruins of the once Sumerian.

With all communications interrupted, our protagonists are trapped in a terrifying underworld that they will have to explore in order to escape, unaware that something ancient and evil has awakened and found new prey to hunt."
