Codemasters announces F1 2021, the first of the EA era

Codemasters today announced the new episode of the famous annual Series dedicated to Formula 1, F1 2021; it is the first title of the British company to come out after the acquisition by EA,and will bring as a dowry a new story mode entitled Braking Point,in which we will have to make our way starting from Formula 2 to reach the top of F1.

F1 2021 is the new generation racing experience that will be launched on Friday, July 16th and will include the teams, drivers and circuits of the 2021 Formula One World Championship. Introducing a brand new storymode, an expanded Career mode with the option fortwo players and three new circuits, Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah,available to everyone as free post-launch content, F1 2021 will offer new ways to experience the thrill of competing at the highest levels of motorsport. F1® 2021,the official video game of the 2021 Formula One World Championship, is the first to be published by EA SPORTS and will be available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

In Braking Point, the brand new story mode,players will be able to embark on an epic journey, as they cross the ranks of Formula 2 to become a celebrity in the world of Formula 1. The title therefore immerses players in the fascinating world of F1, offering a taste of the lifestyle that can be breathed on and off the track: rivalries, emotion and dedication are necessary elements to compete at the highest level. This reintr modewill also feature the much-criticized Devon Butler, who makes his return after debuting in F1 2019.

F1® 2021 expands its iconic Career mode with a new two-playeroption, which allows friends to join online to have fun in cooperation, or choose different teams and take rivalries to the track in synchronous race sessions. Each driver has complete control over their assists, which allows players of all levels to come together and compete. Career mode also introduces the start of the Royal Season,allowing players to start at any time of the season with real-time drivers and constructors' leaderboards.

In all formats, return features include the driver-manager experience "My Team", screen sharing for two players, shorter season options for F1 and F2, eSports integration, and an accessible management menu. For the first time, F1 2021 arrives on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5,and boasts visual improvement and faster loading times.
