FPS Six Days in Fallujah resurrects and takes us to Iraq later this year

From this page of our site you will understand how much Six Days in Fallujah has lived, since its announcement, troubled life. Even since its first announcement by Atomic Games in 2009, 12 years have passed, today Victura and Highwire Games have stated that they want to revive the development of the title, a first-person tactical military shooter based on real-life stories of the Second Battle of Fallujah in 2004.

Six Days in Fallujah will arrive on console during 2021; In close collaboration with Marines and soldiers who fought in the Battle of Fallujah, Victura and Highwire took more than three years to think about and realize game technologies and mechanics that could approach modern combat tactics.

The developers claimed tohave involved 100 Iraqi Marines, soldiers and civilians present during the Second Battle of Fallujah by telling them personal stories, sharing photographs and listening to video recordings in order to make a game as true to reality as possible. The game will authentice these stories through movies as well.

Six Days in Fallujah will have to become, according to the development team, the most authentic FPS made to date set in Iraq. Victura CEO Peter Tamte said these people have shown extraordinary sacrifice and courage in Iraq and are now offering us a new way to understand one of the most important events in our century.

Former Navy Sergeant Eddie Garcia, who suffered injuries during the Battle of Fallujah, also gave his opinion on Six Days in Fallujah stating that " The war isfull of uncertainty and difficult choices that cannot be understood by watching TV or cinema. Video games, however, can help us all understand real-world events in ways that other media can't do."

Six Days in Fallujah is a really interesting game and we hope for more information as soon as they shouldn't be late to arrive. Meanwhile, we leave you to the video dedicated to the announcement that shows real statements of people who experienced the tragic event.
