Codemasters sale: EA beats Take-Two Interactive offer

Remember the news of Take-Two Interactive's acquisition of Codemasters? Rockstar and 2K's house had given it for what it had now done, but evidently had not yet been finalized, leaving room for other competitors to take the field.

And that's exactly what Electronic Arts did, proposing $1.2 billion, thus surpassing Take-Two's offer and securing - unless other twists and turns - the ownership of the studio that authored glorious racing series such as F1, Project Cars, GRID and DiRT.
