Psyonix has announced that the hugely popular "self-football" title Rocket League will become free-to-play by the end of the summer, allowing everyone to experience its adrenaline-pumping and addictive gameplay. In addition, the game, which already supports cross-play between platforms, will also support cross-progression from when it becomes free, allowing players to switch from one platform to another, carrying their profile and progress.

Players who have bought the game will also be rewarded with the "Legacy" status, which will give them access to all the DLCs released so far, to an exclusive title, and numerous customization and boost items.

The date the game becomes free is not known for now: we will update you when more details are revealed.
