Independent studio Mindhaven Games today announced the development of Sky Beneath,an intriguing third-person "gravitational" puzzle-platformer coming to our consoles in 2021. In the game we play as Cassie, a searcher of precious resources in abandoned mining structures that thanks to alien technology can control gravity to walk on walls and ceilings or change the gravitational direction of surrounding objects.

Gravity will then be at the heart of the puzzles of this adventure, but it will also present an intriguing and engaging story.

Set on a planet where a precarious alliance between humans and technologically advanced aliens has caused a big gap between rich and poor, Cassie and her partner Annie will have to uncover the truth about what happened to previous inhabitants, as well as managing to leave this devastated planet. As they solve increasingly complex puzzles, they will traverse super-tech research labs, rich floating cities, and alien citadels. They will also encounter a wide range of alien flora and fauna, such as some annoying rats-raccoon, whose name already says it all.

"We wanted to create a game that recalls solitary expeditions with puzzles to solve titles like the original Tomb Raider, but with the humor and humanity of Portal and The Talos Principle,"said Eero Kuurne, creative director of Mindhaven Games. "Sky Beneath takes up that classic gaming experience, but combines it with a modern and elegant presentation, as spectacular as it is challenging."
