Ubisoft Reveals the Battle Royale F2P Hyper Scape: Video and Details

As promised after last week's anticipation, Ubisoft today revealed the first details and movies of Hyper Scape, new title Battle Royale free-to-play from today available in PC testing and coming to console by the end of the year.

The French house explains that Hyper Scape is a fast-paced free-to-play, battle-to-play urban battle shooter. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Hyper Scape is set in the distant future of 2054, where up to 100 competitors have reached the virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to face a series of fast-paced action-packed battles and claim the title of champions.

Hyper Scape was developed from the ground up to create an intense, vertical and fast-paced battle royale experience. Teams of three players and individual users can dive into the futuristic virtual city of Neo-Arcadia to take on dynamic firefights, moving from narrow alleys to wide roofs and deadly interiors.

Hyper Scape introduces Hacks, skills that players will get in the game scenario just like weapons. Hacks provide offensive and defensive capabilities that suit every style of play. Placing a mine, tracking down an enemy, protecting their team with a wall, or becoming invisible to surprise opponents are just some of the examples of Hacks that players can easily combine and use. In addition, all Hacks and weapons can be upgraded through fusion mechanics to produce even more powerful versions.

Hyper Scape renews and twists the battle royale formula in many ways and with elements like the unpredictable Decay, which dissolves the Map of Neo-Arcadia in various schemes, or the unique mechanics of theEcho, which keeps players active in the battle even when they are on the ground. At the end of a Hyper Scapegame, a thrilling final showdown will begin with the appearance on the Hyper Scape crown map. Players can win in two ways, getting and controlling the crown for 45 seconds or becoming the last player or team to stay in the game.

Now we'll leave you with the announcement trailer, a gameplay trailer and a first dev diary of the developers. Have a good look!
