F1 2020: Codemasters shows us My Team mode

Codemasters today shows us the new My Team mode of F1 2020,a managerial experience that allows us to create a team taking place as the eleventh team on the grid next to the 2020 driver training.

Players will start by creating their own driver, visual identity and a unique brand for their team by choosing a livery, creating their own color scheme and setting the team logo. From here they are responsible for signing with their first key sponsor, which will fund the opportunity to sign with a large supplier and a second driver from the F2 grid ™ of 2019. Starting from a humble situation, players will have less resources and limited equipment. Watch the facilities improve and grow to become a true team of F1 professionals®, facing the challenging Drivers and Constructors Championships. There's no room for internal team driver rivalries when you're also the team leader.

Before unveiling the new car, players will have to face the media to answer a range of questions ranging from its performance to race predictions. Responses have a direct impact on the car's initial strength, so players need to think carefully about how to respond. Once finalized, the car is revealed to the world with a trailer.

Another key off-piste aspect is team management during the week. How players manage, assign, and use the available time will affect the future race weekend. Use the time to manage staff activities, generate funds, and keep your team motivated. The season history shows upcoming events and increases performance. Team activities often have pros and cons, so sending a rider to the fitness center could have a ripple effect, such as a reduction in the time spent on sponsors.

My Team allows players to negotiate in the driver market when they choose a teammate. Compare F1® and F2 drivers ™ based on Experience, Racecraft, Awareness and Pace, along with their market value and the level of acclaim they bring to the team. All driver stats and skills are built from full real-world data from the last five seasons of F1® and F2 ™ and drivers will receive season-high stats updates imported directly into the game based on their 2020 real-world performance.

Reminding you that the game is expected on July 10, we leave you to the trailer that shows us these features.
