Elite Series 2 controller disassembled in video, which is why the grip will no longer cause problems

Today finally comes the Wireless Controller Elite Series 2,the new version of the "Pro" controller of Microsoft that aims to solve some structural problems of the previous version also introducing a number of improvements. And many wonder if one of the historical flaws of the first controller, the disconnect of the lower grip, has finally been solved.

Well, today the YouTube channel 7 Watts posted a teardownvideo, that is, of the disassembly, of the controller to show the internal differences with respect to the first version of the Elite, from which we understand that Microsoft has solved even the year-old problem of grip disconnect, with a solution as simple as elegant: both the top and bottom shells of the controller are now composed of a single piece of rubberized plastic,so the grip is part of the shell in its entirety and is not plus a separate component subject to necklines. This will ensure the integrity over time of at least this component.

Of course only the use and time will tell us if the controller is subject to further wear damage, but for now the impression, even of the youtuber that disassembled it, is that it is extremely solid.

We leave you to the interesting video: check for yourself!
