Division 2 takes us to the Washington suburbs with the next update

Ubisoft has announced that the first major additional episode of The Division2, titled Episode 1 - Shipping to the D.C. suburbs,will arrive on July 23 for Year 1 pass holders and free from July 30 for everyoneelse; The update will include a lot of content and news such as the expected Difficulty Discovery for Raid. Included in the free content plan for Year 1 of The Division 2, Episode 1 – Shipments to the suburbs of D.C. takes the battle off the streets of Washington D.C. New content in this episode includes new explorable environments and the continuation of the storyline following the defeat of Tidal Basin's final boss. Episode 1 will be available from July 23 for Year 1 Pass holders, and July 30 for all other players. Shipments, new gameplay experiences from The Division 2, will be available from July 23 for Year 1 Pass holders, and from July 30 for all other players.

Episode 1 – Shipments to the d.C. suburbs Lead players to the surrounding areas of Washington, D.C. with two new main missions and a new gameplay experience, in which they will have to investigate the fate of a lost convoy, facing unexpected threats in their path. Episode 1 – Shipments to the D.C. suburbs includes:

  • Two new main missions
    • White Oak Camp: Division agents carry out a well-planned strike operation against the presidential camp, with the aim of bringing treasonous President Andrew Ellis to justice.
    • Manning National Zoo: Outcast leader Emeline Shaw, who retired after her D.C. loss, is now holed up in the Zoo to regain her strength. Agents are on his trail, ready to suppress the outcast's resumption in the bud.
  • New Gaming Experience: Shipments
    • In this new experience, players will enter Kenly College, where contact with a military convoy loaded with vital resources has been lost. When they receive what appears to be the last transmission of the convoy, the Agents arrange an expedition to find the survivors. Shipments will be divided into 3 wings. Each wing will have a specific theme and tone, and will be distributed on a weekly basis. By completing all wings, players will access an exclusive treasure room full of rewards.
  • New weapons and equipment: Players will be able to get:
    • An Exotic Weapon: Tortoise Rifle
    • A piece of exotic equipment: BT wired gloves
    • Two weapons: LMG Stoner and Carbine 7
  • RankedAssignments: Agents will be able to complete two classified assignments in the Washington Central Aquarium and NSA Site B13 (Available only to Year 1 Pass Holders).

In addition to the new content, Episode 1 will introduce updates based on player feedback:

  • New Difficulty Discovery for "Operation Dark Hours" Raid
    • The new Discovery difficulty, along with a matchmaking option, will allow more players to take on all the content in The Division 2. While exotic rewards for completing Dark Hours will only be available at Normal difficulty, Agents who face the Discovered Difficulty Raid can expect great rewards as they train to complete the mission at normal difficulty.
  • Crafting Enhancements
    • Players can build their own equipment up to the 500 Equipment Score and can transfer projects between characters. In addition, you can now recalibrate the weapons built at the DIY station.
  • Weapons and Skill Balancing
    • In response to community feedback, the required skill and weapon balances will be included in the next update.
