Sea of Thieves: Rare explains the absence of the new patch and what awaits us next week

If you follow closely Sea of Thieves , you may have noticed that after the weekly server maintenance took place this morning didn't get any update to the game, as usually happens. Rare has now released a new video Developer Update in which the producer Joe Neate explains the reasons for non-patch and what to expect next week.

Neate explained that the weekly patch was ready but during the testing phase revealed a bug that would compromise the experience of PC gamers. The developers have failed to fix the bug in time for this morning, and then the team decided to postpone the entire patch, on both PC and Xbox One so as not to create mismatches in the two versions, next week.

Next week we will find so new products that were laid down for this, i.e. the ability to create private crews so that they cannot be added to strangers, the removal of the label gamertag of players when you plunge pool, so that they are less visible when they attempt to stealth approaches to enemy ships and the Exchange of resources (bananas, cannonballs, etc) between players. In addition to this, the next patch will also introduce a greater balance of the bottini found by high level players, increasing the frequency of the most precious treasures and decreasing those less profitable, it will reduce the cost of some cosmetic items (those who have already purchased will be refunded the difference in gold coins) and will introduce a set of attire that had been announced for last week but not in the last update.

The Producer then has spent few words on again first Content Update coming soon, The Hungering Deep , explaining that it is the smaller among those expected because, since all three teams to work on the three updates have begun simultaneously to work after the launch of the game, this will be the one that had the shortest development time. Does not mean that it will be a small update: Neate defines it as "medium". For those waiting for a launch date for the content, Neate anticipated that next week will be released a trailer that would reveal the nature of the update and it will set the launch date, which at this point we assume it will be in two weeks.

If you want to listen to the whole thing in the developer typically british accent, you can see his explanation in this video .
