Rare has released a new video of Sea of Thieves where Design Director Mike Chapman explains the world that players will be invited to explore. In addition to the three companies in the outposts, each with their own stories and characterizations, Chapman makes us also notice how the names of the various islands have not been chosen at random, but based on their story.

In fact, references in there will reach different game elements that we will talk about the lore of the world by Sea of Thieves . From simple tombs of ancient pirate captains to drawings etched in quarries and caves until remains of old forts and camps, nothing is left to chance and everything tells us of the mysterious past of this adventurous world.
