New Zealand studio Grinding Gear Games today announced that their free-to-play title already released on PC Path of Exile arrives on Xbox One throughout the year, keeping the free format with content packs sold separately.

The title is characterized by an MMO, with players who explore and fight in a "Kingdom" shared by everyone else: after choosing one of the six available classes we can venture out in vast open areas or intricate dungeon basement looking for action and loot.

The game will be aligned to the contents of the PC Edition, including the recently expanded 3.0 "Act Five", but persistent realms will be separated to divide players console from those PC due to small differences in the gameplay of the two versions.
