The Coalition shows the pattern of DLC and GoW 4 trading cards
The Coalition explained that he doesn't want to break up the multiplayer audience among those who bought maps and who didn't, whereby in the matchmaking rated will all available for free, even if they are not always available because they depend on the playlist: the maps will be inserted and removed from the matchmaking based on the schedule decided by the studio.
Those interested primarily in multiplayer ranked, will not have to then spend anything; those who want to create custom games and/or private, should instead buy them, but you don't know for now at what price and whether there will be a Season Pass.
The developers have also announced that the game will also introduce a system of trading cards for aesthetic customizations of weapons and characters, similar to Halo REQ 5. As we play we can earn credits with which we can then buy "crates" (equivalent to packages) full of cards, which we elargiranno customizations more or less rare. There will also be a microtransaction system for purchase of crates, but The Coalition stresses that this is only for players more impatient, while others will get all the customizations they want simply by continuing to play.
Please note that the beta of Gears of War 4 will begin in a few days, on 18 April, to everyone who has played GoW: Ultimate Edition, while everyone else will be able to access it from 25 of the month.
