Telltale reveals the first details on the Batman game, arrives in summer

Telltale games revealed tonight first details on Batman: A Telltale Series , announcing that the first episode of the new series will arrive in summer and revealing information about plot, gameplay and game engine.

As for the plot, Telltale explains that the game will be set in a universe separate from those cinematic narrative, story-telling and Rocksteady; the events that will take place in the adventure does not affect then in those universes, as well as the events seen on movies, comics and video games will not be reflected on the title. It seems, however, that the story will be set today.

The story will focus both on the life of Bruce Wayne-that we can control in many parts of the story-that in the activity from vigilante Batman, but developers explain that wants mainly deepen the life of Wayne and how this affects both on his enemies than on his secret identity. It seems that we're not going to find in the game the classic Batman allies like Robin and Nightwing, but others such as Alfred, Vicki Vale, James Gordon and Renee Montoya will be part of the story.

Telltale underlines how relations with the various characters, but also with criminals, will be changed by our actions both as Bruce Wayne as Batman; even in some cases we may decide whether to intervene in the role of Bruce Wayne or assume the role of the Dark Knight.

Coming to the game engine, the developers promise improvements and new gameplay mechanics: Telltale claims to have heard many complaints about outdated and poorly performing engine, and wanted to remedy the situaizone. Also on the Visual front play, predictably, will adopt a style cartoony rather than realistic: the artists of software house you are inspiring to the style of artists such as Jim Lee , Greg Capullo and Neal Adams .

That's all for now: we'll be waiting for more details and to see the game in action.
