According to recent information, it appears that Microsoft has plans to resurrect the brand Battletoads . It appears that the mark in question, already registered by Rare back in 1990 and subsequently canceled in February 2002, has been registered by Microsoft last November 5 in USA under the section "Game Software".  The original title was a side-scrolling fighting game arrived on the market in June 1991 for NES.

By the time Microsoft and Rare have not spoken about, so please take everything with due caution in order to avoid unpleasant disappointment. Recently, in fact, other brands apparently register as Fallout: Shadow of Boston were eventually proven wrong as fake.  We have to wait for more information.
