Normally it would not credit to this kind of anonymous statements, except that NeoGAF is famous for allowing the post this information only to users who have provided privately to the moderators of convincing evidence regarding the authenticity of this information. And the user "ntkrnl" has received the go-ahead of the moderators, who have verified the reliability.

We come now to the news: ntkrnl says that Microsoft is working on a Halo 2 Xbox One Anniversary , with release planned for late 2014, exactly 10 years since the launch of the original title on the first Xbox. An operation similar to one made with Halo CE Anniversary, but this time for the new console, though Microsoft adds also an unreleased alternate ending to make more attractive whole package.

But if at the end of the year will come this retelling of the adventures of Master Chief, which makes the new Halo end? An output at the same time would put the two titles in conflict with each other, and in fact ntkrnl explains that the new title of 343 Industries will only come in 2015. And it looks like Halo 2 Anniversary will allow access to the Halo beta 5.
