Alex Ward: Criterion is not to work on racing games, it's time to do something new

Two days ago Criterion had denied the rumor on the development of a new Need for Speed Underground through the words of Creative Director, Alex Ward, who had tweeted : " all fake. Remakes and reboot? #passatiadaltro ". This made us understand that the studio is working on something totally different from what was proposed to date and is just a few hours ago that the Twitter of the same Ward made us understand that the team is willing to move away from the racing genre after a decade of development of racing games.

Therefore no original or remake chapter dedicated to the Need for Speed series or no new Burnout or Road Rash.

These are some of the Ward's statements: "we have received many emails requesting a new Burnout. As for a new NFS, but after more than a decade of development of racing games is the time to do something new. However, it is still too early to talk about it. I would like to thank the many fans for their support. "

Here's what I want to know the people. There is always someone who is disappointed but I can't do anything about it. You are many to seek a new Burnout ... Others ask us a new NFS, or Road Rash. With love these games, personally I am not producing anyone. And even Black 2, guys. There would be a lot of stuff to say about it, but I keep for when I write a book ... "

At this point, there remains nothing but wait what this software house with excellent ability for the future will bring.
