Xbox 3: first rumors on Alpha hardware Kit

The site VGleaks , which in the past has been shown to have excellent connections by revealing in advance information and specifications on consoles before, has just released the first Alpha configuration information kits, which are the earliest development kit, the next Xbox, codenamed Durango.

At present the kits have even the appearance of a assembled PC, and this probably won't change until we do not announce officially the console, event slated for the upcoming E3; the internal hardware configuration is created to reflect what developers can expect final console, then allows us to get a first idea on what will be the new machine.

First let's talk about the CPU , which was not declared the frequency or model but we know only that it is based on x 86 architecture and has 8 cores. Very interesting the detail on RAM : according to VGleaks the console will have no less than 8 GB, a quantity more than appropriate for a dedicated hardware as that of the console, while the development kit has an additional 4 developers, for a total of 12. About the GPU rather not know much except that it will be capable of producing graphics DirectX 11.

Very interesting the fact that Alpha Kit is equipped with a Blu-ray player capable of reading discs with capacity of up to 50 GB: this seems to confirm the fact that Microsoft will embrace the standard format for HD movies that will also allow you to store large amounts of data for games, so far unique prerogative of Sony consoles.

For now do not know each other but it is likely that from now until June 2013, date of the next E3, the rumor will still be many: continue to follow us to stay up to date!
