Digital Foundry analyzes the graphics of The Witcher 2

A few days after the release in stores, specialists of HD gaming Digital Foundry have vivisected and compared the PC and Xbox 360 versions of The Witcher 2 , publishing the results on Eurogamer . We present here the main conclusions reached by the team, followed by a small gallery of images comparison between the two versions.

Among the things that stand out most of the comparison, we frame rate Xbox 360 version that never goes below 28 fps, giving an excellent gaming experience and a feast for the eyes. DF noted a big step forward made by the lighting system;  massive doses of HDR rendering on Xbox 360 the environment more natural and less unreal than the PC counterpart. Even Digital Foundry says that the game looks, for the type of lighting used, closer to film in Computer graphics for video games.

Overall, therefore, the team concludes that for technical realisation the game gets closer much more an exclusive first-party, developed specifically for the hardware of the console, which is not a ported from PC. This great testimony of the excellent work carried out by the conversion of CD Project boys RED, which was nevertheless emerged from our review .

The game is expected in stores next Tuesday, April 17.
