Respawn: West Zampella and surrender to the dark side of the force

The site Develop has revealed that Respawn Entertainment has assumed the character designer Iain McCaig to work on their very first weblog project EA, the title still shrouded in mystery. McCaig is an artist known for creating the appearance of important figures such as Queen Amidala and Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, as well as working with the characters of three different games and James Bond to have worked before the team of The Secret of Monkey Island.

Speaking with the site, McCaig said that working with Respawn Entertainment was one of the most exciting experiences I have had in his career, stating that he does not care whether they are military or games set in space, because his passion is create characters. The man's words suggest that it has been well "trained" by Respawn on the fact that it could not reveal any details on the game.

McCaig also said in the interview that he was hired by the team to work on the title that is currently developing, and absolutely could not refuse the offer.

Recall that Respawn Entertainment was formed by former top men of Infinity Ward, Vince Zampella and Jason West, and now the two are working on their first title since they joined the EA, some rumors spoke of a FPS set in the space, but it was only speculation, so the earliest information on the title may arise during E3 2011.
