Job Offer reveals Xbox Live Music Marketplace

A recent job posting by Microsoft indicates that the Redmond giant is looking for an "Xbox Live Music Marketplace Business Manager." This new section of Live could be the next step towards the definitive abandonment of the unfortunate Zune brand, following the announcement by Microsoft that the animal market eponymous Mp3 player (never got here in Italy).

Xbox 360 currently does not have a true marketplace of music (on the model, so to speak, of iTunes), but an intermediate solution: you can access music content offered by the network only on the basis of a monthly subscription - called Zune Pass - which allows the use of streaming all the music content available, but not to buy individual pieces or entire albums and listen indefinitely, as is possible on Windows PC or Zune Phone.

If the rumors prove to be founded that would be a further improvement of wide-ranging entertainment experience on Xbox 360, and a definite step forward in strengthening the interface and the look of the dashboard from which currently departs Zune a lot, creating an unpleasant feeling of discontinuity.

Zune media player 360 has replaced the original dashboard in the fall of 2009, and led the music streaming on Xbox zune pass through to the subsequent year.
