Open Roads postponed: it arrives on March 28

Bad news for those waiting for the arrival of Open Roads, a narrative adventure published by Annapurna Games and scheduled to launch in the Game Pass: originally scheduled for February 24, the game has been postponed to March 28, thus suffering a delay of just over a month.

Announced back in 2020, Open Roads has had a somewhat troubled path, having had to deal with the dissolution in progress of Fullbright (Gone Home, Takoma), the Canadian studio that started the project. However, the game was carried out by an unspecified Open Roads Team, a sort of collective managed "from below" that includes most of the developers involved in the original project.

However, the problems of the past seem to be definitely behind us: the publisher Annapurna has pointed out that this month of extra time is only used to refine the code, with the intention of providing players with a gaming experience as clean as possible from errors and problems.

Starting from the discovery of a block of old letters, Open Roads will follow the story of Tess Devine (played by Keitlyn Dever) and her mother (Keri Russell), struggling with dark family secrets and even a mysterious treasure, hidden near the border between the United States and Canada, where the game is set.

We remind you that Open Roads will be directly included in Xbox Game Pass from the day of release, now set for March 28, 2024.
