Square Enix confirms the development for Dissidia Final Fantasy console; will have a Story Mode

In an interview with the Japanese magazine Famitsu, the manufacturer of Square Enix Ichirou Hazama and Development Director Takeo Kujiraoka confirmed that the software house is working on a console version of Dissidia Final Fantasy fighting game to arenas, set in the world of Final Fantasy and left in 2015 in the Arcade (not to be confused with the eponymous title arrived on PSP in 2008).

Hazama explained in Famitsu that the new version of the game will include, unlike the arcade, a Story Mode that will interact with each other the various characters in the cast; the producer explains, however, that the heart of the game will remain the battles, which will be improved with the addition of new items.

Kujiraoka said that with the console version of the game the team wants to offer a very attractive scene eSports title, not very alive in Japan but that is growing more and more in the West. We can therefore imagine that the game will be equipped with tools for managing tournaments and competitions.

For now we have no further information on this matter: we leave you the launch trailer of the arcade version of the game, allowing you to take a look also to the characters and the gameplay. Good vision!
