Spencer: upgrading to Windows Xbox 10 One will come after the summer

The Xbox Division Chief Phil Spencer said that the long-awaited update to operating system based on Windows 10 come on our Xbox One immediately after the summer. The news comes directly from Twitter where, in response to pressing questions from fans, Spencer wanted to explain that the new operating system will be released in staggered manner on all Microsoft platforms and on Xbox One will arrive "in the summer" , replacing the existing Windows based OS 8.1.

Obviously, as already happens with the current OS, it will be a version of Windows 10 reduced to the bone needed to run the app (including the new universal apps that will run on both PC and Xbox) and the dashboard; among other improvements there will also be the long-awaited cross-play between Xbox and PC, enabling players of the two platforms to play online together with the same titles (only for those titles where developers allow it). At E3 will probably learn more about it.
