Projekt Ukulele has a final title: Yooka-Laylee, first gameplay

Playtonic Games, independent developer, formed by a group of ex-Rare veterans, announced the definitive title of their spiritual successor to Banjo-Kazooie , formerly known as Projekt Ukulele : the game will be called Yooka-Laylee and starring the Chameleon Yooka accompanied by his friend Laylee bat. The characters are designed by Steve Mayles, the same artist who created Banjo and Kazooie.

The two characters have unique features that players can use to traverse the levels: for example, Yooka using his long tongue as grapple to cling to ledges and swing, while Yooka Laylee can grab and take him for short distances, as well as unleash a sort of "sonar blow" against enemies.

The game will start a short finianziamento phase on Kickstarter with planned development on Xbox One , and for now you do not know the expected development time.

We leave you with a video of IGN in which there are short sections of gameplay and some pictures showing the game's logo and characters.
