Ubisoft: Watch Dogs 2 will introduce radical changes

In a recent interview Lionel Raynaud , creative vice President of Ubisoft Montreal , spoke of Watch Dogs and how much we could expect from his entourage. Raynaud has compared the title and how he was welcomed to the first installment of the Assassin's Creed series.

Speaking of the first Assassin's Creed, Raynaud explained: " there were a lot of complaints about the repetitive nature of gameplay, and you could tell that the game was immature.  At that time, although it was clear the potential, it was not easy to imagine what later would become the franchise " adding that " it was the same thing with Watch Dogs : it was hard to do it all at the right level, and it is also why we have taken more time. "

For the future of the franchise is optimistic Raynaud, explaining that the team is willing to make major changes: " there are obviously problems. We totally overcome them and surprise the players, and the way in which we will be quite radical. There are parts of the game that need to be changed. We have this ambition to make games that are worlds with systems that offer more freedom of action to the players, allowing them to discover the world in the way that most prefer. Want them to be less narratively driven and therefore more creative, with more choices available "

So many irons in the fire, especially because, as he admits himself, Raynaud for the first chapter had not yet fully realize technology that vision. We will see in the future if they get closer to how really imagine their upcoming Watch Dogs, the preconditions are there really all.
