Rumor: coming soon a new pre-sequel to Borderlands set on a moon of Pandora

According to what reported by GamePointsNow , it seems that 2 k Australia is currently working on a new chapter dedicated to the famous series of Borderlands called Borderlands: The Pre-sequel . The new chapter, according to speculations emerged, it would place temporally in a period in 5 years that separate the events occurred in their two episodes of the series, when a young Handsome Jack (who at the time was John) was nothing more than a simple computer programmer looking for a precious artifact.

Players will have once again the possibility to choose their protagonist among a roster of 4 selectable characters: Athena laal, Wilhelm performer, Nisha the Champion and Fragtrap (a military variant of the famous Claptrap).

Note that the first two characters were already appeared within the last few chapters: Athena was part of the fierce killer group Lance in DLC "the Armory of General Knoxx" released for the first Borderlands; Wilhelm was one of mechanized Boss from the second chapter.

It is expected, therefore, Athena will be a skilled expert sword fighter in hand-to-hand combat (similar to the character Zero Borderlands 2), while Wilhelm will have a shoulder-mounted cannon and drones to get back into battle.

Major innovations for the next chapter, however, would be seen in two new types of weapons that can be used (cryogenic pulsed lasers) and in the presence of two unusual locations that will be the background to the main adventure: Elpis (a moon of Pandora) and the orbiting space station of Hyperion.

In the latter regard, according to GamePointsNow, are then introduced a mechanical series designed to make compelling experience that you will create in this context: you can hurl into orbit the bodies of enemies; in some sections, you must keep an eye on the stock of residual oxygen; jetpack can be used to navigate easily in various areas, and several other physical/structural solutions that will change significantly the backbone of frantic gameplay that the series always has accustomed us.

Of note, finally, that the title should see light at the end of 2014, only on Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
