Spencer: the initial draft of Black Tusk was a teaser, not necessarily a new game

With the announcement of the landing Gears of War at home Black Tusk, many have wondered what happened to the game Canadian developer that had been shown at E3. Questioned about this, Microsoft's Phil Spencer explained that it was a conceptual video, a teaser created by the team to show their skills development with the Unreal Engine, but that would not necessarily become a game.

Spencer then explained that the team of Canadian talent has experimented with various ideas for about six months before they started to talk about the acquisition of the brand of GoW, after which their great experience with the Unreal Engine made them the ideal team to deal with this important franchise. So it looks like Black Tusk for now will only former Epic series, as well as 343 Industries has taken charge of the Halo series.

We have to wait to find out if a brand new team will be able to give new life to a brand that many considered now tired: we hope to hear more soon, probably in June at the next E3.
