Namco: Tekken X Street Fighter is still alive

Except some rumor, no longer had news of Tekken X Street Fighter since his announcement in 2010, but recently the Director of the play, Katsuhiro Harada has confirmed that the title is alive and still in development. The reasons for this delay are different, and one of the main ones are the constant updates that receives the "brother" Street Fighter X Tekken: "since launching the situation was far more turbulent than we expected. We received both criticism and suggestions by fans of Tekken or Street Fighter ones, not counting the large number of people who have approached for the first time to both brand ".

"To meet their demands and make the game better and better we're still continuing to work on updates and changes, but all of this requires time and resources that have slowed the development of Tekken X Street Fighter. Among other things it would also be counter-productive to release our game when there are so many people that are still linked to Street Fighter X Tekken, and we're waiting for the right time for our debut " .

Another reason was the inclusion of bullet attacks typical of wrestlers of Street Fighter: the team has had some difficulties to implement them in a gameplay such as Tekken, where it prefers a close clash without breaking the rhythm or unbalance the characters too.

Added to this is also another problem, that Harada did not say esplicitatamente but that many have supposed, whereby the latter part should be taken as a rumor: all this delay will cause the release of next-gen gaming, so Namco could be developing in parallel a new console version to come out at the same time, taking additional time. This is only a speculation but not so unrealistic, indeed the next gen is currently low in fighting (the only is Killer Instinct , exclusive Xbox One), for which let out a game like Tekken X Street Fighter on next-gen would have a very profitable move.

We will see how the situation will evolve, but at the moment we have to wait.
