Marc Whitten: family sharing could return on Xbox One, Gold for families remains

In an interview with IGN , the chief product officer of Xbox One Marc Whitten has explained that, after the historic about-face on DRM, some of Microsoft's more plans involving users as family and sharing the opportunity to lend securities could be rehomed with regard to digital download games.

Whitten said that for now the team is focused on launching Xbox One with features requested by players, so you can resell and make physical copies without any limitation: this entailed removing than planned previously, but if the players will prove really interested, some of these may be reinserted after studying "the best way to do that." While maintaining the possibility of resale of physical securities, have the ability to lend or share the digitally downloaded titles would certainly be a welcome feature, something that the Steam Valve is moving to implement.

Whitten has made it clear that as previously announced on the Live Gold, i.e. the fact that if a profile of a console has the Gold, then they can enjoy them also all others who play on the same console, has not been removed and will be a great plus for families in which there are multiple players.

Whitten, who now reports directly to new Director Julie Larson-Green, has finally admitted the sins of Microsoft in a relationship with very confused users, promising that in the future the company will do everything possible to listen to the voices of fans and also to make them aware of their plans in the clearest way possible.
