Activision has announced that the new title Skylanders: Swap Force will be released also on next-generation consoles but at the moment we do not know what differences there are between the two versions as well, of course, to an improved look and feel. At the time of the announcement, the Publisher has revealed the date on which the title will be available on consoles currently on the market: on 18 October. Probably the next-gen version will be released between the first games even if for this we await official communications.
