Rumor: Skype chat service becomes the new Xbox

CVG's colleagues reported an interesting indiscretion from sources close to Microsoft. It appears that the House of Redmond is inclined to make Skype messaging main centre of its next-generation console, including voice chat. Since last may, 2011 with the acquisition of the service for 8.5 billion dollars, Microsoft has decided to abandon gradually, after 13 years of operation, Windows Live Messenger by opening Microsoft's Skype Division, unifying the two services under one Microsoft Account.

The integration of Skype into the next Xbox is still almost a certainty, in an era dominated by social networks and VoIP communication. The doubt remains as to which importance will be given to the service, keeping in mind that this is the biggest investment in the history of the Redmond company. We will keep you informed.
