GoW Judgment: Epic clarifies the DBNO

One of the most popular gameplay mechanics in the Gears of War series is Down but not Out (DBNO), which sees us falling to earth once mortally wounded with the ability to crawl toward a shelter or a companion that will restore health, unless we first killed by aggressive enemy or a deadly bleeding.  There is therefore no wonder that fans have gone on a rampage when the producer Chris Wynn has tweeted that Gears of War: Judgment there will be in any of DBNO multiplayer mode.

The news has been so schockante for fans that the official forum of Epic has been flooded with complaints, post with a discussion on the topic that has quickly exceeded 200 pages.

But apparently the tweet of Wynn was rather inaccurate and DBNO will be present in different modes. Epic has stated officially that, in addition to the campaign, this feature will be present also in the OverRun mode, which sees two teams from 5 players compete as COG and Locusts in a sort of spin-off of Beast mode and where the doctor has the ability to revive his teammates stranded ashore using new grenades healers (with the difference that in this version of will remain firm players DBNO where have fallen and unable to crawl for map).

Epic has also explained that the DBNO will not be present, for obvious reasons, the new free-for-all mode: but there are other multiplayer modes yet to announce, for which we shall know more details in the future including presence of DBNO.

We then wait for more, hoping that what Wynn was true only for the free-for-all mode.
