Taking advantage of the stage of GDC 2012, small development house Minicore Studios announced to be working on a new Live Arcade: Laika Believes . The title will be a platform that will project in an alternate reality where the dog Laika, famous for being the first animal to be launched (and died) in space, however, survived but returned to Earth with cybernetic implants and a super intelligence.

In this new version of the world, the USSR was the unchallenged domination of the globe and the USA were defeated and deleted. The dog Laika will arise as a champion of the weak and suffering.

The main characteristics of the title will be:

• Huge non-linear levels that represent existing sites in a way never experienced before in a platform.
• Development of the characteristics of the protagonist through a huge skill-tree which will diversify the characters in a way that is almost unique.
• A new mechanism of defense that returned to the sender the blows of enemies.
• Fast action and addictive.
• Many hidden items to collect for the most avid players.
• A plot full of interesting ideas and twists.
• A large artistic direction.

The game should see the light on Live Arcade by the end of 2012 or early 2013. We leave a small gallery with some artwork.
